What Is an Image to PDF Converter?

An image to PDF converter takes one or more images in any format — JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, or BMP — and combines them into a single PDF document. Each image becomes one page, with options for page sizing, orientation, and margins.

TweakFiles converts images to PDF entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your images are never uploaded to any server. This makes it faster than server-based tools and completely private, even for sensitive documents like financial records, medical images, or personal photos.

When Should You Convert Images to PDF?

Converting images to PDF is essential when you need to combine multiple images into a single organized document. PDFs preserve page order, can be viewed consistently across all devices, and are the standard format for document submission.

It is particularly useful for digitized documents — when you have scanned pages with your phone camera, you get individual images that need to be combined into a proper document format for filing, submission, or sharing.

Common Use Cases

  • Combine scanned pages or receipts into a single document
  • Create photo albums or portfolios as PDF documents
  • Prepare multi-page submissions for government or legal forms
  • Convert phone camera scans into proper document format
  • Bundle screenshots or product images for reports
  • Archive photos in a universally compatible document format

Supported Formats

TweakFiles accepts JPG/JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP images. JPG and PNG are embedded directly without re-encoding, preserving original quality. WebP, GIF, and BMP are converted through the Canvas API before embedding. Each page can be sized to match the image (Fit to Image), or you can choose standard A4 or Letter page sizes with configurable margins.
